Q: Does eNeighborhoods run on Windows Vista?

A: Yes. After installing eNeighborhoods:

1. Right click on the eN icon (located on your computer desktop)
2. Left-click on properties, select the compatibility tab and check Run this program as an administrator, then click apply then ok.
3. Close all open dialogue boxes and double-click on the eN icon to start eNeighborhoods.

Q:
Why do I see a collage of pictures when I start my eNeighborhoods program?

A:
The collage appears because there is either no Internet connection or there is a firewall preventing the eNeighborhoods program from accessing the internet. Ask your system administrator to turn off the firewall off or configure the firewall to allow the eNeighborhoods program to access the internet.

Q: When I preview my report in Publish, the text is overlapping.

A:
There are two ways to correct this issue:

1.
Make sure you have the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download the latest version here.
2.
Make sure you have your DPI settings set to normal (96 dpi).

To check your DPI settings:

Right click on an open space of your desktop
Left click on properties
Left click on the settings tab
Left click advanced
Under display, select the Normal Size (96 dpi) from the DPI Settings drop down menu, then click ok.
Click apply then ok to close the properties window

Q: After installing the eNeighborhoods program on my Windows Vista machine, I clicked on the “eN” icon, I received a message “Run time error 339, file is missing or invalid”.

A: To resolve this issue:

1. Right click on the eN icon
2. Left-click on properties, select the compatibility tab and check Run this program as an administrator.
3. Click apply then ok to close all open dialogue boxes and double-click on the eN icon to open the eNeighborhoods program.

Q: Can I install eNeighborhoods on my computer in my office?

A: Yes. You can install eNeighborhoods on your home computer, office computer or both. You must have administrator rights to install and run the eNeighborhoods program. Check with the system administrator of your office for more information.

Q: I am not able to email my report using the email option in the program.

A: The eNeighborhoods program uses Outlook Express or Outlook to email reports. If you are using another email system:

1. Click the Publish button in eNeighborhoods
2. Click the Save As PDF icon
3. Once the report is finished generating, select the location where you want to save the report.
4. Attach the report PDF to your email message and send.

Q: Can I install eNeighborhoods on multiple computers?

A: Yes. If you use multiple computers you can install eNeighborhoods on all of them.

Q: Where does eNeighborhoods gets its school data?

A: Public school information is compiled and statistically modeled from the annual school reports submitted by every school district, as required by each state’s Department of Education.

Q: What are the system requirements to use eNeighborhoods?

A: A Pentium computer (or equivalent) with a minimum of 128 MB ram, 1 gigabyte (GB) hard drive disk space, and operating system Windows 2000, XP or higher.

Operating systems that are not supported: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT or Mac systems.

Q: How can I get help with my eNeighborhoods program?

A: There are several ways to get help with your software.

1. Online: While logged in to the eNeighborhoods program, click on the question mark (?) in the upper-right corner near your name for help topics. Topics include getting started, creating and updating your profile, and on using each eNeighborhoods module.
2. By phone: You can reach our support department at (800) 975-9742 option 4. Phone support hours are Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm Eastern time.
3. By email: Just send a message to support@eNeighborhoods.com and we will respond within 1 business day.

Q: How will I be notified when my eNeighborhoods account is closed?

A: Via email. A termination email will be sent to the email address that is on the account or an email address that you specify.
